CONTESTS
The Sound and the Jury Finals
There Can Be Only One
The
Sound and the Jury finals ROCKED! The Top 5 finalists met at Antone's nightclub
in Austin for an evening of some serious musical competition. All night, the
club was filled with cheers, crowd surfing and the sweet smell of victory when
the winner was announced.
So, who
deserved the grand prize? After a tough decision, Austin's very own indie
quartet The Bright Light Social
Hour scored a slot on the Dell stage at ACL Music Festival. Check out
the recap video above to see highlights from the finals, performance footage of
the Top 5, and the winners in their glory moment on stage at ACL. You can also get a sneak peek of
BLSH backstage at ACL here.

What's Their Story?
The
Bright Light Social Hour is a 4-piece band from Austin, TX that melds "classic
rock energy with indie, experimental and soul influences." Members include Jack
(bass/vocals), Curtis (guitar/vocals), AJ (keys/vocals) and Joseph (drums). The
band has released three EPs, and is about to embark on tour to support their
latest, "Back and Forth". BLSH also
has a knack for artsy promo tactics like giving out homemade cookies at their
shows and screen-printed artwork. Find out more about the band on their MySpace.
