Fresh To the Senses
While you're organizing and cleaning your home, it may be a good idea to also "clean" the energy. If you can, visit a botanica (a Latino herbal store) and pick up some sage tablets, cedar incense sticks, and a candle. I like Santa Clara, the patron saint of clarity.

Open all your windows, drop the sage tablets in glasses of water and place them in the corners of each room. Beginning at the front door, light a cedar stick and begin walking from room to room waving the stick like a sparkler and saying a prayer or your intentions like "may all the negative energy be cleared, and may this room be filled with peace, love, and clarity" or whatever you want your home to be like.

If you don't like the scent of sage or cedar, or you have trouble finding these ingredients, you could also do your cleansing with a simple broom. Just start in a corner, and "sweep" all the bad energy towards and out the door, reciting your intention and blessing for your home.
