Formed in the Fall of 1985, Endroit is a band that defies stereotype. One Asian-American server and Sort Of Asian Sort of Irish Server at a Japanese Restaurant stumbled upon a shared interest in sushi, mathematics and kabuki theater. From there, it was musical love at first sight.
Forging a partnership despite a simmering hatred of each other, guitarists Joe Nguyen and Derek Johnson started assembling the sonic Lincoln Logs to inject a melodic yet engaging sound into the fading Indie Pop scene.
With Joe schooled in the Dance-Punk of Iggy Pop, Joy Division, Television and the Killers, and Derek taking his cues and influences from the Britpop scene of the mid 90's, the two started writing a sound that melds these two distinct philosophies.
In the short time since its inception, Endroit has grown a small army of dedicated underage female followers in the SF Bay Area and continues to grow with its intense live performances fronted by singer/male model, Erik Roget, whose anthemic style adds yet another wrinkle to an already wrinkly band.
