Runaway Sun is Houston’s newest Blues Rock and Americana group.  Their debut EP released in November 2008 garnered the band an official showcase paired with singer-songwriter Diane Birch at SXSW 2009.  The band is scheduled to release The Bridge, a highly anticipated ten-song LP recorded at Houston’s historic Sugar Hill Studios, this summer.  Live performances are an introspective journey through a world of women, hoboes, whiskey, cars, small town America, and late night in the big city. Andrew Karnavas, former Houston Press Artist of the Week, fronts the band with a weathered voice, squawking blues harp and a clean rhythm guitar. Lead guitarist Daniel de Luna, who first toured Texas as a lead guitarist at age 15, thrills the live crowds with his improvised solos while Brian del Castillo fills in the low end with warm bass tones and Marshall West plays a combination of jazz and rock beats on the drums.

Man, I have to tell ya....I LOVE "Bad Bad Man". I love the dirty, gritty blues vibe! I agree....it is waaaaaaay better live....but isn't most music anyway?! You guys rock! I've enjoyed seeing your shows and catching up on what you guys have been up to in the last year! You've been busy!!! Can't wait to see you again in October. Keep on Rockin'!!!
